About NepalDash
NepalDash shows what people in Nepal are searching for on Google: daily trending searches by category (sports, entertainment, politics, health, technology, jobs, education, finance and news), how each one is moving, and content ideas for creators and marketers.
Where the data comes from
- Every day, an automated job reads Google Trends' public “Trending now” feed for Nepal and adds the new searches, with their approximate search volume and a related news headline.
- An editor can also add or correct trends by hand. Categories are assigned from the keyword and its news headlines, so they are a best guess.
- While the site still contains sample data, every page says so in a banner, and those pages are kept out of search results.
How the trend score works
Trend score = today's search interest ÷ the keyword's average over the previous 7 days × 100. 100 means a normal day for that keyword; 200 means twice its usual interest. A keyword seen for the first time starts at 100.
